Unfortunately, this is my first and last time renting from Thrifty. I rent cars often for my job and this is by far the worst. There were large black ants in the back seat. The head rest were extremely filthy. When I explained to the woman why I was unsatisfied she questioned my integrity by telling me she does not see bugs and there is nothing she can do about the car being dirty. I rented the car for work and should not have to worry about how I was going to find another location to exchange the car in between working meetings, etc. This was more of a headache than worth the savings!
I rented the vehicle for work and I can confidently say that I will never be renting another car from thrifty again and I strongly discourage anyone from ever renting at thrifty in Delray Beach on federal highway.
Giovanni was great! Saved me after another rental firm I had a reservation with had no cars. He was very professional and informed me about pricing and explained to me why it differed from my last min reservation. Location is a little run down however he informed me that they would be relocating soon.
After I reserved and paid for a car online, they told me I had to wait 2 days to pick it up bc I paid with a debit card. I quickly obtained a refund and took my business to enterprise where they not only took the debit card, but gave me a free upgrade. Will never waste my time with thrifty again.
The woman gave me attitude every step of the way and when I called her to inform her I would be 5-10 minutes late she told me I'd be getting charged an extra hour for the rental.
I'm a Thrifty customer, but not a fan of this location. Most recently, I arrived to pick up my reserved car at the appointed time and the location had no cars at all available. To Thrifty's credit, corporate made a meaningful gesture to apologize, including a refund of my additional expenses. Prior to that, I rented a minivan here and it was running on vapors. The clerk's attitude was don't worry, just return it on empty. Not convenient at all. I will continue to use Thrifty, but will steer clear of this office.
This was BY FAR the worst experience I have ever had with renting a car. The older woman who worked there was rude from the moment I walked in until 2 days later when I returned the car. When she pulled up the car there was trash all over the car and it was filthy, Dunkin' Donuts wrappers, empty cans, etc.
