I called the cops I was advised, that this is a civil case and I should go through my insurance company and pay my deductible for something that was totally out of my control.
DO NO USE THE “COMPLIMENTARY” VALET
Horrible Hospital
They employ rude and racist Cardiologist Dr. Carillo. They ignore the patients if you ask for anything. My daughter was in pain and explaining other issues. They just nodded their heads and walked out. Then they said the neurologist was on his way to speak to us. What shows up a nurse.
I visited a family member at the Delray Medical Center and used the “complimentary” valet provided. When my car was brought back to me I walked from the back to get into my car, tipped the guy $5.00 and left. Then I realized that my 2 months old BMW was damaged in the front. I called the main number for Delray Medical Center and was given the cell number to the “manager” of the Valet. I called numerous times and no answer. I sent a text asking for a return call and no reply. I drove back to the hospital and asked the valet for the manager on duty so that I can advise of my experience. Juan Manual Gonzales came and when I mention what happened Juan Manuel immediately raised his voice and said, “YOU SAW MY EMPLOYEE HIT YOUR CAR?” I asked him to lower his tone, since I was not yelling at him and he should provide me with the same courtesy. Juan Manuel repeated his question, and I replied, “of course I did not see your employee, in the garage that is not in eye site, hit my car. But, it was not dented when I pulled in here today and now its now dented.” He replied, “how do I know you did not do it? Ive been in the business and this happens all the time.” Really, no apologies, no acknowledgement of the inconvenience nor was there any empathy. I was treated like I was trying to steal something from him. Forgetting that I️ am the customer and the Victim, Juan Manuel continued being very condescending, accusatory and down right rude. Juan Manuel wrote up an incident report and it only showed the scratch on the bumper, nothing mentioned about the foglight that was indented. I called Juan Manuel back to the car and pointed that out, to then be again yelled at and told. “My case management team will call you and you can tell them.”
Upon entering the hospital I was greeted by desk clerk. I gave my sister's name and room number and was told she was not here and clerk said he could find no one by that name. My mom said that's not true I'm visiting her now as she stood next to me. The other clerk said who is the person she is looking for he referred to my sister as this one. He would not give me eye contact and he and the other clerk continued to speak about my sister as if I weren't present with the "this one". The Comments In that very moment hurt my feelings. I am here not on leisure but out of family tragedy. I would advise the clerk's to be more courteous of families visiting. It's called RESPECT & DECENCY FIND IT. I'M VERY UNHAPPY WITH THE TREATMENT UPON ARRIVAL.
Juan Manuel Gonzalez "valet manager" and his staff are still in charge and his Boss has since called me to advise that he has never had a complaint from Juan Manuel, which I️ find hard to believe, and then told me that I️ should always check my char when using any valet service. Thanks for the advice, but if your employees damage someone’s car, that you have been trusted with, your responsibility should be to advise the customer. Not for the customer to identify the issue and then for you all to deny it and berate the victim/customer. Unacceptable
Not once did we see a Doctor. Plus they are contradicting a serious condition from a hospital that I trust. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Going to another hospital.
My mom went for knee replacement surgery - the doctor and surgery were great. However, the care in the hospital was very poor. The orthopedics unit is a beautiful new building, and the R.N.'s actually all seemed very nice however there is very poor communication amongst nurses and aids. My mom had no idea what the plan was for her care, she received a phone call on her last day there saying a bunch of medical equipment including a bed would be delivered to her house, however she had no idea if her insurance was covering it and she had not made plans to order this equipment, the hospital just ordered it apparently and had not informed her of the plan. She also didn't know about a nurse that would be coming to her home until 5 minutes before she left the hospital. During her stay in hospital she used the bathroom in a pan and a portable toilet and the nurse aid would not empty it right away many times but leave it sitting out. They never threw away any of her food trays or trash sitting around unless asked. They would take very long to come to her room on a number of occasions to help her go to the bathroom, in one instance a half hour and she wet herself and was crying (I wasn't there at the time but she told me about it and I was upset!). Also many times they would say they were going to do something and didn't do it, such as getting her compression socks - recommended by the nurse but she apparently forgot because my mom didn't get them. Overall it left her with a feeling of neglect, which is the last thing you want to feel after being physically impaired and needing help. She was not needy, the only thing she asked for was help with the bathroom. I just thought it was appalling that I had to clean up all of her food trash and pour her water etc. because they didn't offer. There are basics of care - and Delray medical center do not get it right!
I was in a serious motorcycle accident august 23rd of this year, I sustained several fractures to my leg, back, foot, hand and hip/pelvis. They took me into the emergency room and proceeded to save my foot because I had severed arteries around my shin which was preventing my foot from getting blood flow.. they saved my foot and my life because I had a collapsed lung as well. Their trauma center and doctors saved my life.. ICU nurses were nice as well. I'm sure everyones experience is different but I have to say mine was more positive than it was a negative experience. I may have a bunch of metal in my body now but I am still alive on my way to making a full recovery thanks to the doctor's at Delray trauma center. Thank you.
